Amatikulu Nature Reserve
North CoastLocated at the meeting point of the Matikulu and Nyoni rivers, just 100km from Durban the Amatikulu Nature Reserve runs along a narrow stretch of KwaZulu Natal's coastline for a width of 3km and a length of 17kms. The reserve has two roads, a number of hiking trails, tented accommodation and a 4x4 trail. Visitors can also explore the reserve on canoes or in a small motor-boat. The reserve is home to over 300 different species of birds, including 25 raptor species. Kudu, zebra, waterbuck and giraffe can also be seen in the reserve.
